Organic Box 13th January 2010

fruit: Gala apples, bananas, oranges, lemon (we got a small fruit by mistake)
veg: carrots, Savoy cabbage, leeks, courgettes, onions, mushrooms, Crown prince squash, Amorosa potatoes

Well, January moods are truly kicking in here and everyone has been ill and grumpy, which is why there were no recipes this week… not much cooking was done and we largely ended up living off toast, home made pikelets and pancakes.

All the more to make this week, as some appetites have been regained, luckily.  I still fancy some stodge so will do some Kaese Spaetzle and a puy lentil and mushroom lasagne.  Definitely room for a good veg curry too and maybe some of the lovely Moro courgette and pinenut omelettes.

I really want to do some Russian stuffed cabbage leaves as well and I’m planning to make some lemon curd to slather on the pikelets …  quite an ambitious menu, all told!
